About
My name is Anand Gorantala. Arrowconcept is my online journal, a place to record my thoughts. It is also a showcase of my work. I am a Web Developer and Designer with a little over 4 years of experience. I started out as a Telecommunications Engineer but changed my major to Software Engineering for my Masters with emphasis on Web Applications. I love coding the front end as well as the back end but I like the front end more. In a team, I am usually responsible for designing the ‘look’ as they call it. I always felt back end is simple, once you see the documentation, optimizing and standards aside, it is pretty straightforward. I like the challenge that user interface proposes. Every application is unique and the approach for interface has to be unique too. Actually, if I start making my argument for UI, it will not end for a while. I have had people get mad at me coz I am fussing over the line height at the last minute. Maybe in a blog post later.

What is up with the name?
I am not sure. I had a hard time coming up with a unique cool sounding domain name that was still available. For some reason, the word ‘Arrow’ was stuck in my head. I felt that I had to use it and I got arrowconcept. Who knows, maybe I am meant to find out its meaning ;)
